Lisa, Baby, Girl and Woman

Kerstin told me about her project with Runaway Explorers and I got very interested. At the same time a frightened feeling because of the cruel destiny…. You must kill the doll….

I chosed some nice textiles with diferent green colours.

When I came to Kerstins house to fetch my little doll, I was excited.

On the kitchentable she was- waiting.

My heart and mind reacted when I saw this cute thing with dark skin….

The name Lisa bubbled up into my mind, a nickname my father often used when I was a little girl.

For me, Lisa is the girl I was, the woman I am  now and my little baby.

Lisa has dark skin as my daughter Nora- she was halv Nigerian.

This project to taking care of a born doll with textiles from you don´t know where, gives you a lot of various thought and feelings.... and wonderings.

Well, it´s going to be an interesting experience for her and for me.

Photo left. I Took a nice walk in a little village called Harlösa...
I was born here. I met an angel and we talked for a while about life and death...

Photo above. That same day I met a nice guy with so nice red clothes, he surprised me with gifts. He was really happy that I am here too

Jungle Jim Lisa

Louise Mossum chose two small tablecloths, probably from the 70-ies. These quite proper textiles turned out to be a "Jungle Jim" alike action doll. I wonder though if Jungle Jim's have bandana's in thaisilk? Lisa has one. She also has overarm muscles and a olive tone to her skin, probably of being out in the sun all the time. What will this girl do in the world? What will she find? Maybe new and serene parts of her inner being?
